A recent report revealed a 15% decline in Egypt’s iron and steel exports from January to August this year. The total reached $1.368 billion, down from $1.617 billion during the same period last year.
Italy was the top importer of Egyptian iron, with imports valued at $161 million. Spain followed with $153 million, and Turkey was third at $130 million. The United States ranked fourth, importing $118 million worth of iron.
